This sphere is made of neodymium magnetic material and coated with Ni+Cu+Ni triple layers. The sphere has one north pole and one south pole on the opposite sides of the sphere.

We are definitely in the realm of the absurd here. This sphere is not really useful for anything in the strict sense of the word, but it is a lot of fun.
As with all large sphere magnets, the surface coating will not last forever, as the point-like contact areas are subjected to enormous forces. These magnetic spheres will be delivered individually packaged in a clear plastic tube.
Thanks to a slightly thicker coating, nickel-plated magnets are better protected against abrasion than zinc-plated magnets.
